We use sauna masters with training and many years of experience in the proper use of techniques, scents, and steam. We use pure products such as hand-picked herbs and plants, sauna-approved essential oils combined with music and storytelling that awaken the senses and provide a great experience!

Our guests experience a holistic range of activities, with cultural traditions from around the world, as well as Scandinavia and Norway, being central. Ice bathing/swimming is also included, allowing you to set your own limits on how far and how long you wish to immerse yourself. The sauna master will guide you on proper breathing techniques and more.

So, what exactly is Aufguss? 

Aufguss is a sauna experience that combines heat, steam, and sensory stimuli to create a unique and immersive wellness experience. In this traditional practice, an experienced sauna master pours a mixture of water, essential oils, and often hand-picked herbs onto hot stones in the sauna. This creates a rich steam that increases humidity and intensifies the heat in the room.

Aufguss is more than just a hot sauna; it is a sensory journey. The masters use towels to circulate the steam evenly throughout the room and may also incorporate elements such as music, special scents, and storytelling to take guests on a mental journey around the world. Through varied fragrances, musical themes, and narratives, the senses are stimulated, and the body receives deep relaxation  while being mentally and emotionally influenced by cultural and historical references.
